2011-2012 Parent Survey 

Absences must be cleared when your student is absent from school. Please call the office in the morning before 9:00a.m to indicate the reason for the absence .(Absences can only be cleared up to 10 days) An automated calling service may call your home when your child is absent to verify your child’s safety should you forget to call in. Excessive tardies are discouraged. Students should be on time every day of school.  If your child is absent/tardy often, a district attendance officer and/or school nurse may visit your home to determine the reason for absences/tardies. 

If you are moving out of the attendance area and your child is not returning to Julia Morgan for the 2012-2013 school year please stop by the office and let the Secretaries know. Space is limited to new and incoming students and this information would be helpful in placement. 

We are down to our last 30 yearbooks! Don't forget to purchase a yearbook today. Order forms can be picked up in the school office. Yearbooks are $18.

Are your parents looking for something educational and fun for their children to do this summer?  Kids College has a fantastic summer program planned with over 115 individual workshops and mini-camps (not-for-credit).  Kids College classes are held at Delta College (attached is a listing of the summer classes and age ranges).   For the detailed summer workshop descriptions, schedule, fees, teacher bio statement, and online registration, go to: http://www.adultedreg.com/deltakidscollege.  Kids College online summer registration begins on Monday, May 21, at 8:00 a.m. and is ongoing after that.  The summer term begins on June 11 and runs through July 28 (Note: new workshops start each week; no classes July 2-7). Class sizes are small so prompt registration is encouraged!

Kids College provides workshops in all the areas: ACADEMIC SKILLS & CREATIVE LEARNING, ARTS & CRAFTS, COMPUTERS, COOKING, DANCE, FOREIGN LANGUAGE, MUSIC, ONLINE LEARNING, PERSONAL PURSUITS, SCIENCE & ENGINEERING, SPORTS & FITNESS, and THEATRE, ACTING, & PERFORMING.  There are almost 50 brand NEW summer workshops:  Math Olympiad, Kindergarten Readiness, The Odyssey, Fairy Tale Fun, Abacus-Mental Math II, Kiln-Fused Glass Art, Digital Study Aides, Power Point II, Cultural Cooking, Rock Band, Junior and Senior Choir, Online High School Credit Recovery, Nursing 101, Beginning Robotics, Electronic Science Lab, Zumba, and Reader's Theatre, just to name a few.

Do you have clothes your child has out grown and are ready to donate a few of them? Julia Morgan Kid's Closet  is in need of gently used clothing. Primary grades often have accidents and it is helpful to have a change of loose fitting sweatpants, hoodies, jeans, or shorts (boys and girls sizes 4-12)  just in case.
